An Evening of World-Class Opera

Join us for a sneak peek of the internationally renowned Glimmerglass Festival and its 2017 season fueled by the passion for home and heartland. Glimmerglass Young Artists will present excerpts from their upcoming season that include Gershwin’s beloved Porgy and Bess; Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical, Oklahoma!; Handel’s Xerxes; and Donizetti’s The Siege of Calais. Plus, experience an evening viewing of CHIHULY in the Conservatory after the performance, where the exhibition is infused with a magical energy as the artworks are spectacularly illuminated amid NYBG’s magnificent Conservatory.

6 p.m. | Doors Open

6–6:30 p.m. | Viewing of Chihuly Works on Paper and Early Works in the LuEsther T. Mertz Library Building

7–8:15 p.m. | Glimmerglass Festival in the Ross Hall

8:15–9:30 p.m. | Evening viewing of CHIHULY in the Conservatory
