Dress up in your best Van Gogh looks—whether you’re coming as the painter himself, one of his masterpieces, or his favorite inspirations—and join us for a day filled with plein-air painting, photo ops, and a look-alike contest. The day’s winners will receive fun prizes, while everyone gets to enjoy a day of art and blooming beauty!
12 p.m.
Check-In Table in Visitor Center
The first 100 visitors to arrive dressed in costume starting at 12 p.m. will receive gifts themed around Van Gogh’s Flowers! We’ll also be sharing a voucher for 20% off your purchase at NYBG Shop.
2 to 3 p.m.
Conservatory Plaza
Don your most colorful outfit in homage to Van Gogh and his iconic art. Dress up as the artist himself, one of his famed paintings, or get imaginative with a look inspired by the flowery subjects he painted! Walk the runway so our judges can admire your style, with a chance to win NYBG and Van Gogh’s Flowers prizes.
12 to 3 p.m.
Perennial Garden
Grab a paper canvas and colored pencils and join visiting artist Sarah Yu in the Perennial Garden to get in touch with your inner artist!
12 to 6 p.m.
Across from the Hudson Garden Grill
Stop by our double-decker Van Gogh bus for a bloomingly beautiful photo op in your most colorful outfit as you explore this year’s exhibition in all its summer glory.
