NYBG is temporarily closed effective 6 p.m. on March 15, 2020.
We have temporarily closed the Garden in coordination with New York State’s efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19. The safety of our staff and visitors is our top priority.
During this period, essential staff will care for our living collections and maintain the operations of the Garden’s 250-acre landmark landscape until we reopen.
Suspension of all in-person events, on-site programs and classes, and exhibitions, including the cancellation of The Orchid Show, has been extended through April 30.
KUSAMA: Cosmic Nature—our multisensory presentation of Yayoi Kusama’s profound connection with the natural world—originally planned for 2020, has been rescheduled for spring–fall 2021. More information is available at nybg.org/kusama
If you purchased an Orchid Show, Orchid Evening or KUSAMA: Cosmic Nature ticket, you will be automatically refunded. Orchid Show and Orchid Evening ticket purchasers will receive an e-mail confirmation within 2–4 weeks. KUSAMA: Cosmic Nature ticket purchasers will receive an e-mail confirmation within 4–6 weeks. Thank you for your patience as we work remotely to process the large volume of orders at hand.
