Community Rentals

Mission-Oriented: Groups must be involved in environmental, community-focused, educational, cultural, intellectual, or charitable initiatives. (Venues may not be used for personal social gatherings such as showers, birthday parties, family reunions, etc.)

Not-for-Profit: Priority will be given to small, verified 501(c)(3) organizations.

Geographic Location: Groups or organizations must be Bronx-based or extensively serve the Bronx community.

Confirmations: A confirmation can generally be made no more than 30 days before the event.

Non-Commercial Use: The space may not be used for commercial purposes, such as selling products and/or services at the event.

Ticketed or Fee-Based Events: Community rates are not available for any event that charges an admission fee to attend.

Dates and Times: Tuesday–Friday, during normal public operating hours. Catered events are limited to 150 people. Food service is available for 2 hours, with the option for the event to continue afterward.

Non-Exclusionary: Events may not be sectarian in nature and must be open to anyone.

• Permission of use is not transferable to another individual or group.
• If an event requires registration/check-in, staffing must be provided by a representative of the organization.
• Users must secure all legal rights and insurance required by NYBG.
• All requests are subject to approval.

Pfizer Conference Room & Patio | Capacity: 20
A warmly lit meeting space in NYBG’s state-of-the-art Pfizer laboratory building, featuring a conference table, screen and projector, and access to an outdoor deck offering patio seating and a view of the Garden’s 50-acre Thain Forest.

Watson Classroom | Capacity: 12–60
NYBG’s Continuing Education wing offers classrooms of varying sizes for workshops and conferences, with desk seating along with screens and projectors.
