The New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) is America’s premier urban garden. Founded in 1891, it is an iconic living museum, a showplace of natural beauty and wonder, and an oasis in the country’s busiest metropolis. As a major scientific research organization, NYBG operates one of the world’s largest plant research and conservation programs, with scientists leading programs in the field across 18 countries. A National Historic Landmark, NYBG is the largest botanical garden in any U.S. city, with a 250-acre site supporting over one million plants.
Royalty proceeds from The New York Botanical Garden’s licensing partnerships are returned to the institution in support of its continued work in plant research and conservation, horticulture, and education.
