City Nature Challenge 2024

April 26–29

The City Nature Challenge is an annual global bio-blitz, inviting participants from around the world to collaborate in observing and documenting biodiversity within their cities. This weekend, from Friday, April 26 to Monday, April 29, join us in contributing to the New York City project! Last year, 542 users made 14,434 observations of 1,575 species, including 63 species previously undocumented on iNaturalist in NYC.

With 25 events happening across all five boroughs, this is a great opportunity to grab your camera and explore the city! All are welcome—no prior knowledge is required.
