Join us for a weekend at Oak Spring Garden Foundation, bringing trustees together for inspiring experiences, meaningful conversations, and time to connect. The weekend will feature the Board Meeting, curated tours and gatherings, with more details to come as plans take shape.

Accommodations at Oak Spring Garden Foundation are limited, and some travelers may be placed at nearby accommodations in the surrounding area. With registration, accommodations will be determined on a first-come, first-served basis.

Transportation

Oak Spring Garden Foundation is located in a very rural area. To make travel to, from, and around the retreat as seamless as possible, NYBG will offer three different transportation options. Travelers are strongly encouraged to select one of the options below. If you plan to arrange transportation independently, please note that that there is very limited rideshare availability in the rural areas.

Transportation Options

Travelers will have three options for traveling to Virginia and their accommodations. Please indicate your preferred option during registration.

  • VAN RIDE (Limited Space)
    Round-trip transportation provided by van from NYBG to travelers’ respective accommodations in Virginia. NYBG staff will accompany the group, with return transportation to NYBG following the retreat.
  • TRAIN
    Amtrak Train from NYC Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Station to Washington DC Union Station
    NYBG will share an exact round-trip train schedule, which travelers will be responsible for booking independently. Group transportation between Union Station and travelers’ respective accommodations will be provided upon arrival on Friday and departure on Sunday.
  • FLY
    NYC Airport to Dulles International Airport
    NYBG will share an exact round-trip flight schedule, which travelers will be responsible for booking independently. Group transportation between Dulles International Airport and travelers’ respective accommodations will be provided upon arrival Friday and departure Sunday.

Please note that if travelers select to train or fly on an alternate schedule time than the one shared by NYBG, then transportation between Union Station / Dulles Airport and travelers’ accommodations is not guaranteed.

All details are subject to change as the plans continue to take shape. Final transportation options and schedules will be confirmed at a later date.
