Holiday Train Show Guides
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Explore the exhibition with friendly volunteer guides, who’ll be on hand to share fun facts and answer your questions as model trains wind past landmarks made from natural materials.
Member-Only Guided Tours
Join a tour guide for a free drop-in tour just for members. No registration needed. Tours meet at the Native Plant Garden Pavilion.
- Fall Highlights Tour
  1 p.m.
  See the Garden’s brilliant fall landscapes and favorite trees, including the Rock Garden collection.
- Ross Conifer Collection Tour
  2 p.m.
  Walk among more than 250 mature pines, spruces, and firs from the American West, Japan, and Alaska.
Live Holiday Music
12:30 & 1:30 p.m.
Get into the spirit with the Samantha Louise Trio, performing holiday classics in the Visitor Center. Rain plan: performances will move inside the Holiday tent.

Be sure to make time for Kiku: Spotlight on Tradition in the Nolen Greenhouses, a dazzling display of Japanese chrysanthemums. You can also join a public drop-in tour at the Reflecting Pool: Native Plant Garden (11:30 a.m.), Chinese Plants in the Garden (1 p.m.), or Perennial Garden (2:30 p.m.).

New this year! Holiday Train Show tickets are untimed on most weekdays (Tuesday to Friday), except November 27 and December 21, 2026 to January 4, 2027. Reserve online for quicker entry or get tickets at any ticket window upon arrival.
New this year! Members enjoy complimentary evening admission to the Holiday Train Show during extended hours on select dates.
Reserve early for days with timed ticket entry: weekends, November 21, and December 28 through January 4. Time slots fill up quickly.
Need flexibility? Upgrade to a discounted Flex ticket for dates with timed entry and arrive anytime before 4:30 p.m. on your selected date.
Redeem Member guest vouchers on-site for the Holiday Train Show on Member Days, November 13 and January 8 only.
