Bronx Green-Up

Bronx Green-Up—the community gardening outreach program of the New York Botanical Garden—provides horticulture education, training, and technical assistance to Bronx residents, community gardeners, urban farmers, local schools, and community organizations. Established in 1988 to assist local grassroots leaders in creating community gardens, this program now supports a network of more than 2,000 Bronx gardeners, with a community-led ethos that has enabled the program to grow and endure over the past 35 years.
