Summary of Responsibilities:

This is a part-time position. The Registration Liaison provides customer service and administrative support in the Children’s Education registration office. He/she greets and provides direction to visiting school and children’s groups, maintains weekly reports, and processes payments and reservations. Key responsibilities include:
 
  • Record daily number of arriving adults and children.
  • Confirm group payment prior to arrival.
  • Provide directions to program sites, restrooms, and designated eating areas.
  • Liaison with registration office, Visitor Services, site managers and arriving groups.
  • Provide information on Garden locations for self-led programs.
  • Weekly report and debriefing to register.
  • Perform routing clerical assignments i.e. typing, filing, faxing, copying, etc.
  • Prepare confirmation packets.
  • Enter payments and assist with batches.
  • Process reservations into VISTA system.
  • Assist in phone inquiries and reservations.
  • Provide assistance with daily Registrar duties.
Requirements:
 
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Prior experience working with children and teachers desired.
  • Customer service and crowd management experience.
  • Knowledge of The New York Botanical Garden is a plus.
  • Computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Flexible, articulate, energetic, assertive and friendly personality.
