The New York Botanical Garden is now accepting applications for all 2013 volunteer Horticulture internships.

Interns assist curators, gardeners, and arborists in the maintenance, evaluation, and inventory of our beautiful historic landscape while receiving instruction in all aspects of plant care and horticulture skills in the following areas, depending on season: executing planting plans; planting; post-planting care; bed preparation, maintenance, and renovation; soil building and plant nutrition; and grooming and detailing plants. Power equipment operation includes, but is not limited to chippers, chain saws, hedge trimmers, and stump grinders. Equipment training is provided.

Internship dates and schedules are flexible, but a 3-month, full-time commitment is preferred. We welcome students and Horticulture career-oriented individuals to apply. Please note that this internship is unpaid.
