Treat mom to a beautiful green retreat. Play lawn games such as badminton and croquet, fly a kite, and have a picnic among the Garden's spectacular spring color. Professional photographers will be on hand to snap pictures for you to take home. Kids can enjoy hands-on nature activities and create a greeting card for the occasion. Children’s Outdoor Nature Explorations: Birds and Nests
Appreciate all of the moms in nature caring for their young! Weave a bird’s nest and craft a bird out of clay to take home. Then head to the Everett Children’s Adventure Garden to pick up a scavenger hunt and learn more about the birds found at the Garden. Record those that you see on our citizen science chart.

Professional photographers will be on hand to snap pictures of your family taken with the brilliant Azalea Garden as your backdrop. Choose one to print or visit their website to purchase more online.
Make a card for Mom!
Decorate a special card for mom on her special day! Add the photo snapped in the Azalea Garden and add designs from the craft station at the Clay Family Picnic Pavilions.
Pick up a palette and let the Garden be your muse. Borrow materials and set yourself up in a number of inspiring overlooks.
Home Gardening Demonstration:
Sow and Grow–2 p.m.
Join Gardener for Public Education Sonia Uyterhoeven for an activity-based demonstration on how to sow seeds and transplant young seedlings into your garden. Different techniques will be covered and participation is encouraged with a take home treat for mom.

Join the Lehman Children's Theatre Company as they reinterpret the classic tale of Beauty and the Beast adding a sprinkle of their special brand of fairy tale sketch comedy, with musical accompaniment by the Bronx Arts Ensemble. The audience will be introduced to each musical instrument and join in the adventure! Admission included with All-Garden Pass.
