Fragments to Frameworks: Mixed-Genome Inference and 3D Floral Phenomics
July 1, 2026
Biodiversity research often requires reconstructing coherent biological structure from fragmented evidence, whether those fragments are sequencing reads or multi-view images. This talk connects two method pipelines: mixed-genome inference for assembly problems and 3D floral phenomics for comparative morphology. Together, these pipelines offer new ways to integrate genomic and phenotypic evidence in support of ongoing plant evolutionary research at NYBG.
