An Investigation of Darwin Materials in the Mertz Library

Well-known researcher James Costa, Ph.D.—Highlands Biological Station, Highlands, NC, and Western Carolina University, Cullowhee, NC—returns to The New York Botanical Garden as The Andrew W. Mellon Visiting Scholar at the Garden’s Humanities Institute. His presentation, An Investigation of Darwin Materials from the Charles Finney Cox Papers in the LuEsther T. Mertz Library, NYBG, will highlight a number of new discoveries from the Cox Papers, one of the most complete private collections of Darwiniana. A unique viewing of Darwin’s original publications and herbarium specimens will be offered immediately after the presentation in the LuEsther T. Mertz Library, on the 6th floor of the Library Building.
