Celebrate Mom with a weekend of fun! Make Daffodil Hill your own backyard and bring the whole family together to enjoy local food truck options, play an assortment of family-friendly lawn games, craft a gift for Mom, and get your face painted with whimsical designs. Music and collage activities are presented by local vinyl DJ collective, Uptown Vinyl Supreme, and Bronx Community Collage.
What happens if it rains?
This event is rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, a covered location will host our music, collaging, and face painting activities. Select food trucks will be present. Lawn games will be canceled, but we will have fun take-home activities awaiting you. Don’t forget your umbrella to enjoy the Garden’s blooms!
We’re thrilled to welcome back family favorites Bronx-based vinyl DJ collective Uptown Vinyl Supreme and Bronx Community Collage. The collective presents a lineup of groovy tunes paired with a create-your-own collage project, where you can draw inspiration from World Collage Day and use archival images from NYBG’s Mertz Library to make your masterpiece or a card for Mom!

Mother’s Day at NYBG wouldn’t be complete without the fantastic artists at Face Art by Melissa. Choose from a menu of spring favorites and whimsical designs and be transformed!

NYBG’s Teen Explainers are eager to share seasonal activities, hands-on programs like crafts and potting up plant seedlings, and other family-friendly fun. Explore our children’s garden in spring, learn about the plants of our region, and climb up to the top of the Tree Top Walk for a bird’s eye view of the forest!
