(timed entries at 6:30 & 7:15 p.m.)

Scarecrows take over NYBG on these exclusive nights for kids of all ages. Start your evening off at the Everett Children’s Adventure Garden and explore over 30 friendly scarecrows set among rare and unusual pumpkins and gourds. Grab a ConEdison flashlight to explore the Whole Foods Market® Trick-or-Treat Trail and sculptures, listen for critters of the night, and celebrate the season with larger-than-life skeletons and costumed characters created by Lucrecia Novoa. Round out your evening by stopping at trick-or-treat stations in the Discovery Center and enjoy snacks for purchase and live music at the Visitor Center Patio.

For those ages 10 and up looking for a spookier experience, continue beyond the Adventure Garden to the Wetland Trail for an evening experience of Scarecrows: From Heartland to Horror. Journey through the evolution of the scarecrow in the United States with a chilling sculptural installation by artist Ray Villafane, while the interactive theater troupe Truth in Lies tell the story of this iconic symbol along the way.
