Channel the spirit of the ’60s at Flower Power, a joyous celebration of the enduring symbolism of flowers as icons of peace and love. Immerse yourself in a groovy and colorful flower show spotlighting the ways in which hippie culture advanced closer relationships with the natural world, and explore vibrant botanical displays. NYBG’s galleries will showcase photography and visual art from the 1960s, while installations on grounds invite all of us to “come together” and be empowered to embrace flowers as symbols in our own lives.

Liquid Light Shows

Join us after hours as Flower Power comes alive with a mesmerizing liquid light show and unforgettable live music! Each night features a headlining band on stage whose work brings a fresh, modern edge to the iconic and free-spirited sound of the late ’60s.

Family-favorites Peppa and George return to NYBG for a 15-minute mini show and meet-and-greet experience! After the performance and photo opportunity, families are invited to enjoy a range of exclusive activities guided by our Everett Children’s Adventure Garden Explainers.

With the iconic backdrop of the Mertz Building and collection of tulip trees, this year’s 10th Annual Spring Uncorked event is the perfect wine-lover’s event, featuring local wineries from the Hudson Valley, Brooklyn, and Long Island.

Mother's Day Weekend Celebration

Celebrate Mom with a weekend of fun! Make Daffodil Hill your own backyard and bring the whole family together to enjoy local food truck options, play an assortment of family-friendly lawn games, craft a gift for Mom, and get your face painted with whimsical designs.

Summer of Moomin

The beloved inhabitants of Moominvalley arrive for a celebration inviting audiences of all ages to step into the imaginative universe created by Finnish artist and author Tove Jansson. The Moomin takeover invites you to experience the Garden through the spirit of Moominvalley, evoking the joy and wonder of nature with a clue-based quest, hands-on nature crafts, and a larger-than-life character photo moment.

Before New York: A Traveling Pop-Up Exhibition

Through November 15, 2026

To see the nature of the place we now call the City of New York, ecologist Dr. Eric W. Sanderson and colleagues have spent more than 25 years reconstructing lives of the inhabitants of this remarkably rich and diverse coastal landscape as it existed on September 12, 1609. Enter to see the city like you’ve never seen it before, learn about the origins of place, and to appreciate the ways in which we have, do, and can shape our good home.
