Everyone’s favorite train is returning to NYBG as the star of a mini-performance that families may enjoy during their next Garden visit. Driver Sam and friends provide a fun-filled, interactive musical show where audience members are invited for photo-op with Thomas after the show.

Saturdays, Sundays, and holiday Mondays; 10:30 a.m., 12:30, & 2:30 p.m.
Fridays; 10:30 a.m. & 12:30 p.m.

Please note: Seating is first-come, first-served, and begins 30 minutes prior to show time. Admission to the performance is free of charge. Specific timed tickets must be reserved and are available when purchasing daytime admission.

Lady Hatt is set to visit Knapford Station and Sir Topham Hatt wants everything to be in tip-top shape. Thomas has been given the special assignment to help Driver Sam plant a flower and vegetable garden to welcome Lady Hatt.

In his excitement to meet Driver Sam with the seedlings, however, Thomas fails to bring the instructions on how to care for the flowers and vegetables to make them grow. Who will help Thomas and Driver Sam learn to properly care for these flowers and vegetables so that they are ready for Lady Hatt’s visit? This 15–20 minute interactive show invites the audience to welcome Thomas to Knapford Station with his theme song, and work together to discover the simple elements that flowers and vegetables need to grow. With Driver Sam and Thomas, the smallest engineers will learn new songs and lend a hand to make sure the flowers and vegetables are ready for Lady Hatt’s visit.
