From Tree to Sea

Posted in Environment & Conservation , Videos on May 24, 2021, by Matt Newman

Kids can join NYBG Explainer Leah for a reading of From Tree to Sea by Shelley Moore Thomas—then stick around for a journaling activity with Shanelia that gives them a hands-on outlet for their creativity.

Introducing children to many of the lessons to be learned from the natural world around us, Shelley’s book shows them ways in which they can find inspiration in the landscapes, plants, and animals that we share our world with. After the reading, head outside to gather natural items to create your own nature scene at home in your observer’s journal.
