Join us through this Monday, May 26, for the Opening Weekend Celebration of our latest exhibition, featuring a monumental field of sunflowers and large-scale contemporary art inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s love of nature. Pop on by the LEGO pop-up on its last weekend to make and take your own mini sunflower creation, and be sure to catch the peonies and roses while they’re looking lush and lovely.

Starting this Friday, May 23, Starry Nights brings Van Gogh’s Flowers to life after dark! ✨🌙

These picture-perfect nights out are your chance to experience our all-new exhibition lit up for the evening. And it wouldn’t be a celebration without live music and performances—featuring jazz and dance that evoke the Parisian bistros Van Gogh frequented. Grab a cocktail or mocktail and a bite for purchase, and join us out on the lawn, where—conditions permitting—the sky over NYBG comes alive with an illuminated drone show in homage to the artist’s most famous work.

Van Gogh’s Flowers opens THIS Saturday, May 24—come see what the @nytimes calls “a colorful explosion of 18,000 sunflowers and other plants”! 🌻🎨

Indoors and out, the Haupt Conservatory and its surroundings have been transformed with large-scale contemporary art and botanical displays that bring Van Gogh’s world to life. With vibrant color and flowering beauty around every turn—including a field of monumental sunflowers to wander through—come connect with the natural world that inspired the artist’s vision.

Kicking off this Saturday, May 24, we’ll be open through Monday for the grand opening celebration, featuring artist demos and drop-in painting activities. It’s the best way to enjoy spring in NYC!
