Learn the language of flowers as you create a bouquet for someone special. Stop at the Home Gardening Center, Perennial Garden, Everett Children’s Adventure Garden, and the Ruth Rea Howell Family Garden to pick up pressed flowers and herbs to create a tussie-mussie design and write a poem inspired by spring at the Garden.

A Voice of Her Own: Book Reading and Discussion

Barbara Dana, an award-winning author of books for children and young adults and actor of the stage and screen, presents a reading in the fictional voice of Emily Dickinson and a discussion of the poet for young audiences.

Beauty and the Beast

See the Children's Theatre Company at Lehman College in a reinterpretation of the classic story Beauty and the Beast, with an added sprinkle of their special brand of fairy-tale sketch comedy and musical accompaniment by the Bronx Arts Ensemble.
