Spring Weekends at NYBG

The Garden comes alive in the springtime, and we're celebrating this year with a whole slate of events! Whether you're a kid or an adult, a wine connoisseur or a music lover, we've got something perfect for you.

Native Plant Garden Wine Weekend

May 2 & 3
In the Native Plant Garden

During this oenophile's weekend, purchase a souvenir wine glass to join us for a flight of palate-pleasing local wines from New York State vintners while experts on winemaking and viticulture invite you to join the conversation during presentations of their crafts. As you sip your wine, enjoy snacks for purchase and live acoustic music. Tours of the Native Plant Garden by expert guides will highlight the significance of the many plant species within and round out a weekend fit for sommeliers and casual wine fans alike.

The Native Plant Garden is a gift of the Leon Levy Foundation.

Kids can make an afternoon of crafting Mother's Day cards or adding to giant chalk drawings. The young at heart can perfect their croquet game, relax over a cup of tea in the Lillian and Amy Goldman Stone Mill, enjoy a special brunch, and view a dance performance on the Conservatory Lawn. Dad won't want to miss this throwback to the heyday of Linda Ronstadt with a performance of her landmark album of traditional Mexican folk songs—the top selling non-English album in American history—by The Villalobos Brothers and Humberto Flores, featuring a special appearance by Gizel Xanath, other guest artists, and a full mariachi band.
