Fiesta de Flores

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Fiesta de Flores, the Garden’s daylong festival of flowers and culture of Latin and South America. Enjoy the beauty of the Garden while enjoying music, dancing, hands-on activities, savory food specialties, and more.

Fiesta at the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory
• Listen to the music and learn the steps of salsa dancing.
11:30 a.m.—12:30 p.m., 1-2 p.m., 2:30-3:30 p.m., and 4-5 p.m.
• Show your festival spirit with face painting.
10:30 a.m.—5 p.m.
• Discover the scientist in you at our Everyday Science station.
11 a.m.—5 p.m.

Fiesta in the Everett Children’s Adventure Garden
• Create tissue paper flowers inspired by flowers native to South America.
• Plant a marigold seed flower to bring the festival home.
10 a.m.—5 p.m.

Fiesta in the Ruth Rea Howell Family Garden
• Learn how to care for and grow plants used in Hispanic cuisine.
• Make your own marigold jewelry to show the Fiesta de Flores spirit.
1—5 p.m.

Fiesta on the Grounds
• Learn how Henry Moore was inspired by other cultures, including the art of South America, on our educator-led Henry Moore Tours. Meet at the Reflecting Pool.
12:30 and 3:30 p.m.

Fiesta in the Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden
• Enjoy the Garden’s Festival of Flowers with the sights and smells of our Rose collection while learning how to care for your own flowers.
• Home Gardening Demonstration: 1:30 p.m.
Curator led Q&A session and tour of the Roses: 2—4 p.m.

Fiesta at the Café
Taste savory foods from Hispanic cultures at the Visitor’s Center and Garden café.
Cafes are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.


You must have a Dan Zanes concert ticket to access Daffodil Hill and the concert.
All-Garden or Grounds-Only Passes will not allow access to the Daffodil Hill area for the Dan Zanes and Friends Concert. For $10 more you can upgrade your All-Garden Pass to a concert ticket.
