One of the BEST ways to see the Holiday Train Show is to hop aboard the @teaaroundtownnyc bus! ☕️🫖

On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays through January 20, reserve a spot and catch the bus at Central Park South for a leisurely ride up to the Garden featuring delicious treats, teas of all sorts—and of course an appearance by Santa and an elf riding along. Once here, you’ll get to explore the Holiday Train Show and stop by NYBG Shop to cross some gifts off your list before the return trip.

Our train conductors welcome you into a twinkling world of model trains, brought to life under a wash of vibrantly colored lights that you can explore throughout our entire glasshouse (even the rain forest and desert galleries). Happy Thanksgiving, all! Just a heads up that we'll be closed Thursday, November 28, but the Holiday Train Show is BACK starting this Friday. 🚂 🦃

And with more 21+ Holiday Train Nights coming up this Friday and Saturday night, there's plenty of opportunity to keep the celebration going all week long. Be sure to grab tickets while you can for these special Nights out at the Garden, where the entire Conservatory lights up for the occasion with an after-dark viewing of the Holiday Train Show, specialty drinks and treats for purchase, and plenty of live holiday tunes to get you in the spirit as we make our way into December.

If you've got Nights tickets, you can arrive as early as 7 p.m. to enjoy music and grab a bite, regardless of your Train Show entry time. See you this weekend!

The countdown is OVER (almost). New York’s favorite tradition—the Holiday Train Show—opens tomorrow! 🗽🎄

It’s the perfect time to don your Santa hat and make your way to NYBG for the grand opening of our most cheerful event of the year. In the warmth of the Haupt Conservatory, there’s an entire miniature city of famous landmarks to wander through, brought to life with model trains busy zipping between miniature Manhattan row houses and iconic museums. And outside, the fun continues with a mountainscape full of twinkling bridges and locomotives.
