One of the absolute highlights of late spring at the Garden is the return of the NYBG Farmers Market! 🥬🍓🥕

Be sure to stop by tomorrow from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. and each Wednesday throughout summer and into fall as the market returns weekly until October 25, featuring the best of local, seasonal produce, artisanal goods from makers in our area, fresh-baked breads and desserts, and so much more. With our rotating list of weekly vendors, you're sure to find something excellent to cook up for dinner.

Each Monday in the Edible Academy, we welcome veterans of all ages from the James J. Peters VA Medical Center for a day among nature—where they take part in hands-on gardening, working with plants to ease depression and anxiety, promote healing, and engage in activities for friendship and community building.

“There are so many different ways to express yourself and to grow, and I think that the THRIVE program is a wonderful opportunity to do that with other veterans,” said one participant. The returning laughter of school groups matched in intensity with nearby bird songs, a water lily in bloom, and roses making their earliest appearance are just a few of the things happening here right now. The evidence is clear: Summer is on the horizon, but for now here's what we enjoyed this week.
