Reopening Updates

Update on Reopening NYBG

We are very excited to announce that NYBG is planning to reopen as part of New York Forward’s Phase 4, which is projected to begin on July 20. We will share our official date as soon as it is confirmed. Our reopening will begin with an Appreciation Week for Garden Patrons & Members, our Bronx Neighbors, and Bronx Health Care Heroes, followed by the general public.

Until then, we are preparing the Garden to welcome you back with safety as our priority. We remain committed to providing you an enjoyable Garden experience with some new guidelines in place.

A few notes:

  • All visitors, including Patrons & Members, will need to reserve a timed ticket in advance; capacity will be reduced.
  • Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting practices will be implemented.
  • Staff and visitors will be required to wear face coverings.
  • Only outdoor gardens and collections will be open, with social distancing measures in place.

With 250 acres to explore, there will be so much to see—from vibrant palettes of hibiscuses and hydrangeas to the tranquil beauty of water lilies and lotuses. Become a Member today and be among the first to return during our Appreciation Week.

We will be in touch again in early July with the reopening date and more details. For now, please stay connected with us at NYBG at Home and on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
