The Holiday Train Show is home to some Gilded Age icons that came to define the character of NYC—and @keithyorkcity’s here to introduce you to them! 🏛️💛

Dive in to learn about the William K. Vanderbilt house, which once graced Manhattan at 52nd & 5th, and the Marshall Orme and Carrie Astor Wilson House, bringing Parisian style to 64th Street. And did you know that @themet was also born of the Gilded Age?

We're OPEN today as winter comes to NYBG, and it's a beautiful time of year to set out for an afternoon exploring our 250 acres. 🌲🍂

Keep an eye out for local birds like this northern cardinal now that the leaves have fallen, making them especially easy to see going about their daily tasks. Spots like the Benenson Ornamental Conifer collection are perfect for immersing yourself in the emerald green of the season, while the last vestiges of fall can still be seen here and there, adding a hint of gold to the scenery.

From the Holiday Train Show to the Everett Children’s Adventure Garden, you’ll find plenty of family fun during this long weekend at the Garden!

Our annual exhibition of charming landmarks in miniature, brought to life with dozens of model trains zipping to and fro, has been a tradition for kids of all ages for over 30 years. Once you’ve explored it indoors and out, head over to the Adventure Garden where Evergreen Express invites you to make your own evergreen swag, explore the story trail, and play with train toys big and small. You can even pop up to our all-new Tree Top Walk to get a bird’s-eye view of the Garden.

We “took flight” in the Haupt Conservatory for a bird’s-eye view of our many landmark miniatures, and the model trains that bring them to life by day and night. And New York City’s favorite holiday tradition has never looked better.
