It’s been a while since we’ve had such a winter wonderland at the Garden, and now’s the perfect time to grab your favorite hat and scarf and head outdoors. 🧣❄️

Our 250-acre landscape is bright with snow, and as you explore the trails of the Thain Forest, the paths of the Benenson Ornamental Conifers, and the walkways of the Native Plant Garden, be on the lookout for overwintering birds, colorful berries, and the first blooms of witch-hazel amid the branches!

Whether or not your New Year’s resolutions include spending more time outdoors, it’s a gorgeous time of year to get out and about in the Garden! 🌿

Winter’s most charming little flowers, the snowdrops, have begun popping up throughout NYBG. The Azalea Garden is an especially good place to spot these tufts of shy blooms. And if your eyes tend to be on the skies, it’s a birder’s paradise with the leaves off the trees, making our feathered friends easier to see.

A crisp morning wandering the Garden is the perfect way to clear your mind and breathe a little easier.
