About

The New York Botanical Garden is the place to be for winter, spring, and summer break! Themed Adventure Camps for kids, ages 5 to 10 years old, feature outdoor explorations, science investigations, and behind-the-scenes tours in the Garden's 250-acre landscape. Ranging from art-inspired camps to investigations of historical scientists like George Washington Carver, each week takes full advantage of the garden's vast plant collection, state-of-the-art technology, and unique habitats like the 50-acre native forest, colorful rose garden, wetlands, and Native Plant Garden.

Winter Science Camp:
Plant Pioneers

Be a plant pioneer like George Washington Carver, an American scientist, botanist, educator, and inventor. Kids explore the fascinating worlds of plants and participate in exciting experiments, hands-on activities, and fun science games and crafts. Learn more

February 16–20:
9 a.m–4 p.m.*;
Section 1: Grades K–2
Section 2: Grades 3–5

*Early drop-off (8 a.m.), late pick-up (5 p.m.), and extended pick-up (until 6 p.m.) available. Fee: $15 per morning or afternoon, and $30 for extended pick-up.

 
 
 
 
 

Spring Science Camp:
Wonders of Spring

The plant and animal worlds are emerging from winter dormancy and preparing for the long days of summer ahead! Campers explore the Garden where buds are blooming, animals are nesting, and other signs of spring are unfolding. Learn more

April 6–10:

Summer Camp

Each week celebrates a different theme for exploring the garden: Art in the Garden, Wild Wetlands, Forest Adventures, and a brand new theme for 2014: Wildlife Discoveries. From painting with plant parts to hiking in the forest, the summer will be full of adventure. Sign-up for a single or multiple week plan.

All weeks listed offer concurrent programs for 5-7 year-olds and 8-10 year-olds.
