How You Can Help

These are just some of the ways volunteers contribute to the Garden:

  • Introducing children to the wonders of nature by leading activities in the Family Garden and the Children's Adventure Garden
  • Leading tours for a wide range of visitors
  • Assisting Horticulture in various gardens
  • Greeting and providing information to visitors as they enter the Garden
  • Assisting departments like Membership and Communications with their many clerical duties

There are also many volunteer opportunities in other areas, including the Shop in the Garden, the Mertz Library, the Botanical Science program, and many types of public events.
