All visitors—including Patrons, Members, and Corporate Members—need either mobile or printed tickets for entry to the Garden.

Includes access to KUSAMA: Cosmic Nature installations in and around the LuEsther T. Mertz Library Building and Enid A. Haupt Conservatory and across the grounds, plus Garden features including the Tram Tour, Rock Garden, Everett Children’s Adventure Garden, and outdoor collections. Does not include access to the Infinity Mirrored Room—Illusion Inside the Heart (2020) installation.

Details

Infinity Mirrored Room tickets are issued in limited quantities to provide visitors the immersive experience that the artist intends. Please plan to queue at the Infinity Mirrored Room at the time on your ticket. While there will be a line, your access is guaranteed if you arrive on time. Late arrivals risk forfeiting their entry. Re-entry to the Infinity Mirrored Room is not permitted. You may explore KUSAMA: Cosmic Nature and the Garden during regular hours—before or after your Infinity Mirrored Room experience.

  1. Official KUSAMA All-Garden Pass and KUSAMA All-Garden Pass + Infinity Mirrored Room tickets are non-transferable and can only be purchased at nybg.org or at the Garden at any ticket window, contingent on availability. KUSAMA All-Garden Pass tickets are non-transferable and may be available through approved third-party partners such as Metro-North Getaways, Grand Hyatt New York, and Goldstar. Beware of buying tickets through unapproved third-party sellers, as they may not be authentic. If you purchase your tickets through an unauthorized source, NYBG will not be able to guarantee your entry.

Hours & Getting to the Garden

  1. Garden Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday to Sunday and Monday holidays:
    May 25 (Memorial Day),
    September 7 (Labor Day)
    October 12 (Columbus Day)

    To guarantee access to the KUSAMA: Cosmic Nature installations in the Mertz Library Building, visitors must queue at least two hours before Garden closing.

    Early Closure: May 12 (Haupt Conservatory closes at 3 p.m.)

  2. The Garden is located at 2900 Southern Blvd, Bronx, NY 10458.

    NYBG is easily accessible via Metro-North Railroad and by subway (B, D, and 4 trains to Bedford Park Blvd. Station and the 2 train to Allerton Ave. Station). NYBG is only 20 minutes from Grand Central Terminal to Botanical Garden Station on Metro-North’s Harlem local line.

    Public transportation, taxi, or other rideshare services are recommended to avoid parking delays. Drop-off and pickup location for these services is 2900 Southern Blvd., Bronx, NY 10458.

    On-site parking is available at the Garden (2900 Southern Blvd.) and at the NYBG Parking Garage (401 Bedford Park Blvd). Parking is $20 per vehicle and is not included with admission.

    Parking is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis, and is not guaranteed.

Know Before You Go

  1. We anticipate this will be a popular exhibition. While there will be lines, your access is guaranteed with a valid ticket.

    KUSAMA All-Garden Pass ticketholders should plan to spend two to three hours at the Garden, including wait time in the queues at KUSAMA: Cosmic Nature installations.

    KUSAMA All-Garden Pass + Infinity Mirrored Room ticketholders should plan to spend three to four hours at the Garden, including wait time in the queues at the Infinity Mirrored Room—Illusion Inside the Heart (2020) and other KUSAMA: Cosmic Nature installations.

    To guarantee access to the KUSAMA: Cosmic Nature installations in the Mertz Library Building, visitors must queue at least two hours before Garden closing.

  2. NYBG offers mobile and print-at-home tickets for your convenience. After entering the Garden, please present your ticket to staff and keep it handy; you will be asked to present your ticket at various locations throughout your visit. Patrons and Members: please bring your valid Membership card along with your tickets.

  3. KUSAMA: Cosmic Nature installations are both outdoors and indoors; be prepared to spend time walking and queuing outdoors.

  4. For your comfort, please consider the following:

    • Enjoy the array of food and beverage options that can be purchased at the Pine Tree Café or make reservations at the Hudson Garden Grill. Outside food and drink must be consumed at the Clay Family Picnic Pavilions. Food and drink are not permitted in or around any KUSAMA: Cosmic Nature installations.
    • Strollers are allowed throughout the Garden grounds with the exception of the Infinity Mirrored Room—Illusion Inside the Heart (2020), Flower Obsession (2020) obliteration greenhouse, Mertz Library Building, Haupt Conservatory, Ross Hall, and the Everett Children’s Adventure Garden Discovery Center. Stroller parking is available at these locations.
    • Bags larger than 11” x 15” x 9” may not be brought into the KUSAMA: Cosmic Nature immersive installations in the Mertz Library Building, Infinity Mirrored Room—Illusion Inside the Heart (2020), and Flower Obsession (2020) obliteration greenhouse. NYBG does not offer bag or coat-check facilities. Please follow instructions from NYBG staff at all times, as this policy may change in order to ensure a safe and free flow of guests.
  5. You are welcome to take personal, non-flash photography. Make sure to tag us in your photos with #KusamaNYBG. To preserve the integrity of the artist’s works, photography is not permitted in the Mertz Library Building’s Art Gallery on the 6th floor. Tripods, monopods, easels, selfie sticks, and lighting equipment are not permitted in the Infinity Mirrored Room—Illusion Inside the Heart (2020), or Flower Obsession (2020) obliteration greenhouse, Haupt Conservatory, Mertz Library Building, and Ross Hall.

    Please follow the below photography guidelines:

    • Stay on the paths: do not enter planted areas or water features and do not climb trees or rock outcroppings. Do not impede visitor movement by blocking off paths or redirecting access in any way.
    • Preserve our plants and art installations: do not touch, pick, climb, or otherwise damage them.
    • Multiple changes of clothes for personal use photo or film shoots are not permitted unless you have received permission through a Garden Permit.
    • Commercial photography or filming is prohibited without the express written permission of NYBG Public Relations.
