Contributions from the New York Botanical Garden
Series Editor: Dr. William R. Buck, The New York Botanical Garden, bbuck@nybg.org
Contributions from The New York Botanical Garden was established in 1899 as a monographic series of technical papers written by Botanical Garden staff members, published in other journals, and reprinted by the Garden. In partnership with Springer since 2007, The New York Botanical Garden’s three authoritative academic journals—Brittonia (est. 1931), Botanical Review (est. 1935), and Economic Botany (est. 1947)—are providing ever-widening “scientific and professional communities with superior specialist information” on plants and fungi.
Botanical Review
Editor-in-Chief: Dr. Barbara Ambrose, The New York Botanical Garden, bambrose@nybg.org. Co-published by Springer and The New York Botanical Garden.

For more than half a century, Botanical Review has been a leading international journal noted for its in-depth articles on a broad spectrum of botanical fields. Systematics, phytogeography, cladistics, evolution, physiology, ecology, morphology, paleobotany, and anatomy are but a few of the many subjects that have been covered. Botanical Review draws together outstanding scientists in the field, synthesizes the current knowledge about a specific subject, and promotes the advancement of botany by indicating the gaps in our knowledge and providing new outlooks on the topic.
Brittonia
Editor-in-Chief: Benjamin M. Torke, The New York Botanical Garden, btorke@nybg.org. Co-published by Springer and The New York Botanical Garden.
Quarterly Journal available online here.

Since 1931, Brittonia, assuming the broadest possible definition of the field of systematic botany, has been an important outlet for the publication of original research articles on anatomy, botanical history, chemotaxonomy, morphology, paleobotany, phylogenetic systematics, taxonomy, and phytogeography. Each issue contains articles by the staff of The New York Botanical Garden and outside contributors, book reviews, and announcements.
Economic Botany
Editor-in-Chief: Dr. Robert Voeks, California State University, rvoeks@fullerton.edu. Managing Editor: Dr. Brian M. Boom, The New York Botanical Garden, bboom@nybg.org.
